In an effort to help with our post-production, The Metabolism Society sent  a special e-mail to their membership last week –

Greetings!

This holiday season, please consider a mission which deserves our support.

At this moment in history we are losing the war with obesity and we are requesting your help.

You probably know that overweight and obesity are preventable. Research studies show clearly that the right approach to diet will lead to a reduction of, or prevent, the incidence of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and certain forms of cancer; all connected to or worsened by overweight and obesity. But with conflicting messages from U.S. and International Governments, trade industries with vested interests, and new diet gurus surfacing every day, we tend to go numb in the confusion of the media frenzy. The general public does not know what to do or who to believe.

How you can help educate the public:

PBS (KQED) has expressed great interest in using the documentary, “In Search of the Perfect Human Diet(TM)” as a special four-part series - This is BIG news! The Director of Communications for PBS asked Hunt /Thompson Productions to submit the completed program for official consideration for national distribution on PBS – And with your help we will make this happen.

This important educational film is in post-production with academy award-winning editor Suzanne Bauman and your contribution will help bring this film to the general public.  Please consider a charitable donation to bring this work to completion, as your chance to really make a difference in the lives of millions. If every person on this mailing list gave just $37.00, this film will be reaching millions of people by spring 2010 – No amount is too small. Please support this work today.

If you would like to know more about the documentary or sign up on the DVD notification list you can do that at www.perfecthumandiet.com.
